A review carried out by the University of Cambridge looked at over 50 different studies and found that the size of your plates, bowls & cups can have a serious impact on your weight loss goals.
Whilst it may seem pretty straight forward, reducing the size of your crockery, cutlery and even glasses is one of the simplest ways to control the size of your portions.
The study concluded that in the UK over-eating could be reduced by around 16% or to be more specific 279 calories per day.
These results were also found to be the same for men & women.
So if you find yourself struggling to shift weight even though you’re eating healthily then the answer may be at the bottom of that large dinner plate you’re eating from.
