17 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO JUMP START YOUR WEIGHT LOSS

1. WAKE UP TO WATER
Drinking a large glass of water when you wake up will help get your day off to the best start.
2. GET A SET OF DUMBBELLS
Working those muscles ladies will help you build lean muscle which will burn more calories, even whilst you sleep. Do some bicep curls, triceps pulls, squats & lunges.

Salmon, Tuna & Halibut are all rich sources of omega 3 fatty acids plus they’ll fill your diet with lean protein.
We’ve all heard probiotics, well prebiotics are the healthy fibre that probiotics thrive on to help keep your gut healthy & functioning at its optimum level. Make sure you’re eating leeks, onions, asparagus, artichokes & garlic.
We can all admit to feeling a little stressed at times but chronic stress can make you prone to weight gain. Make sure you are doing the things you love every day, call your friends or family, go for walks along the canal, read a book, whatever it is you MUST make time no matter what.

13. SLEEP MORE
Research has shown that getting enough sleep has been linked to weight loss, grab an easy read holiday style book and make a routine of reading it before bed to help promote good sleep.
Doing short bursts of high impact exercise, a minute long each has been shown to improve health and fitness just as much as longer workouts, so go for it.
15. FRUIT JUICE
Fruit juices may taste good but they can contain up to 10 teaspoons of sugar per glass & they don’t even fill you up. Switching them for fresh water with ice & lemon will literally save you hundreds of calories each day.
16. WALK IT OFF
Research has shown that walking for 10 minutes right after each meal reduces your blood sugar levels more than walking for 30 mins in one block.
17. DAILY TREATS
Give yourself around 225 “free calories” a day to treat yourself without feeling any guilt. Make it something indulgent, a scoop of creamy ice-cream or some rich chocolate.
